The cat remembers all the information they have, it is part of their brain. It is not stored in the same form as how we store ours, but they can recall all the experiences.
A study by Cambridge University has shown that cats are able to recall things from previous experiences and how their mother reacted to these situations. They know when the mother is upset or happy.
